Every week, 50 Victorian construction workers are seriously injured on the job and have to stop work. Victorian WorkCover Authority are committed to improving safety in the construction industry. Carter had the opportunity to expand on the 2013 campaign, taking the digital experience to the next level in Top Tradie Cup 2014.
Building on the success of last year's Top Tradie Cup campaign engagement, we've refined the feel and use of the mobile game. The objective was to get tradies teaming up and playing during smoko, so consideration had to be given to the limitations of a 3G and 4G connection.
To leverage a general love of sport amongst blokes on site and create a game where players are asked a series of eight Victorian WorkCover Authority and AFL related questions across six weekly rounds. Bonus points are awarded for completing the round in the week it's released and medals are collected for correct answers fuelling the competitive experience. With prizes up for grabs like movie tickets and corporate hospitality at the footy, players can chart their progress on the ladder against other teams and share results with friends on social media.
